WHY JOIN PTO?
Being a part of the FORES Parent Teacher Organization is a lot more than just paying a membership fee. It is a way to support your child by being engaged in his or her learning community while working with an amazing team of parents and teachers. FORES PTO works very hard behind the scenes raising money to fund materials, programs, and services that are not covered in the school district's budget. 100% of your PTO membership fee stays at our school. We are an essential part of the learning community, and we hope you will join us!
Our goal is for 100% of our families to join!
DO I HAVE TO ATTEND MEETINGS?
No. We have meetings throughout the year, but they are not required. If you are unable to attend meetings, your input is still valuable to us, and we welcome comments and questions from PTO members at any time! Our executive Board meets every month, and we have general meetings throughout the year.
Currently, our meetings take place virtually to ensure the health and safety of all participants. Exact dates and times of both Board and general meetings will always be posted to our social media, so be sure you follow us to stay in the loop!
DO I HAVE TO VOLUNTEER?
No. We deeply appreciate our volunteers, but we understand that not everyone is able to contribute their time in this way.

WHAT TYPE OF FUNDRAISING EVENTS DOES PTO ORGANIZE?
In the past, our PTO has organized two major fundraisers during each school year.
The “I Love My School” or "ILMS" fundraising and school-spirit initiative starts at the end of September. This fundraiser is 2 weeks jam-packed full of all kinds of activities to boost school spirit and community awareness. We kick the fundraiser off with a pep rally for students and an evening meet-and-greet for parents. At the meet-and-greet, parents have the opportunity to purchase tickets to exciting parties and experiences for both children and adults. We wrap it up with have a fun run to help promote being healthy and celebrate a great 2 weeks.
The Cowboy Breakfast is our second major fundraiser and takes place in February. Not only is it our largest fundraiser of the year, it’s the most fun! There are food trucks, rides, game stations, raffles, and an exciting auction where participants can bid on over 150 items. FORES students take part in the auction excitement, too; each classroom assembles its own uniquely themed basket to add to the auction block! We also receive several auction donations from the community, including but not limited to hunting trips, photography sessions, vacation rentals, spa days, and so much more! Cowboy Breakfast is a wonderful family and community event that helps FORES students get the much-needed funding for the equipment and supplies our school relies on to remain exceptional!
